Well, we’re entering a different and interesting topic this week. As my Prayer Group began this year, it was my burden to deal with specific “women” issues. What are the struggles in our daily lives? Where is Satan getting the better of us and defeating us in our growth and success in the Lord? We’ve spent several weeks studying marriage…God’s plan, blueprint, guidelines, the mistakes we make, the pitfalls that will destroy us. We’ve certainly not covered the scope of the subject, but I pray that our study has ignited a longing to allow God to work in your marriage and your home. To further this effort, I want to take a few weeks to deal with the issue of in-laws. For some couples, this has been a smooth transition of blending two families. For most, there’s been conflict from the first day you were introduced as a perspective spouse. It’s an area that Satan wreaks havoc and where our testimony for Christ can crumble, and our marriages suffer. So, today, we begin the journey for greater love and acceptance for the in-laws that God has joined together. I truly desire your prayers as our study continues. I know God can bring real and lasting changes to our homes, yet Satan won’t give up without a struggle. Today’s lesson won’t begin to answer the questions we all have, but it will sure give us a lot to consider, and hopefully, as we continue with this thought for another week or so, God will reveal vital truths to our hearts.
